£500,000,000 Development at The Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton - Michael Jones

Michael Jones Commercial are delighted to be instructed by University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust as sole agents on the new 3Ts’ Royal Sussex County Hospital development in Brighton.

This £500,000,000 development which has been over a decade in planning and delivery is nearing completion with doors due to open to patients and staff from November 2022 with a formal opening taking place in 2023.

The development which is part of the Governments 40 new hospitals by 2030 provides spacious modern facilities for staff and patients in more than 40 wards and departments. More than 1,000,000 patients, visitors, and staff will pass through the building yearly accessed via a stunning new atrium area.

Commercially there are three spaces in which Michael Jones Commercial are assisting the Trust.

Space A is located on Level One with direct access out onto Eastern Road. The space is approx. 1,312 Sq Ft and is designed to provide a mixed retail offering of food and ancillary goods. For further information please visit –

Space B is also located on Level One with direct access from the main spacious atrium. This 1,013 Sq Ft premises is designed to provide a take-away food/coffee shop with a small front servery area and a large kitchen and store behind. 

Space C is located on Level Six and has been designated as café premises with superb external seating with superb sea views. Over 1,600 Sq Ft providing internal covers of circa 40 with a further approx. 50 covers on the outside terrace.
