Goring-by-Sea

Goring-by-Sea is a borough of Worthing, West Sussex and is best known for its Greensward which is ideal for picnics, ball games and barbecues or just sitting and relaxing, watching the world go by, as well as seafront cafes, the yacht club and of course some fabulous, imposing properties.

Durrington High School is a popular choice for parents, as it is known for its high-quality education and impressive academic achievements. Transport

Goring is in a very convenient and well-connected location making it easy to travel to and from the area. Goring-By-Sea train station provides regular services to Brighton, London, and other major cities in the UK. The railway station is thought to have been the inspiration for the name of the character, Lord Goring, in Oscar Wilde’s play ‘An Ideal Husband’, as he lived in Worthing during the late 1800’s.

The town is also connected to major roads, including the A27 and A259, making it easy to get around by car or bus.

The area has a beautiful beach that stretches for miles, providing the perfect setting for a relaxing day by the sea or for those that enjoy a bit more adventure, you can often find Goring beach filled with paddle boarders, surfers and sailors.

If you are interested in gardening and history, Highdown Gardens allows you to walk in the footsteps of gardeners, politicians and even the royal family, where you can explore the history of a chalk pit which was been transformed into a national plant collection.

Goring-By-Sea has a range of shopping options, with the popular Goring Road Shopping Parade being home to several local businesses, including a bakery, home décor retailers, microbreweries and even a Pilates studio.
