Rollover image to enlargeA sales campaign by local estate agents Michael Jones has raised £500 for the Camelia Botnar Children’s Centre in Goring.
Michael Jones collected the money by donating an amount for every instruction it received from homeowners putting their property up for sale through its five offices in Goring, Findon, Broadwater, Lancing and Worthing.
The funds will go towards extending the centre’s free pre-school care for children with special needs and from disadvantaged homes.
Michael Jones launched the campaign after choosing the Camelia Botnar Children’s Centre as their Charity of the Year.
Mike Jones visited the Centre to present their cheque to the charity’s Director of Partnerships and Fundraising, Michael Kay. He commented: “We wanted to give something back to the community to show our thanks for their custom over the past twenty years. As a family owned company, the Camelia Botnar Children’s Centre was the perfect choice. Its been helping families in the area since 1979 and now needs as much support as possible to keep it going. We want to do everything we can to help it through this difficult time.”
Michael Kay said: 'We are so grateful to Michael Jones for their fantastic support and generous donation to the Camelia Botnar Children’s Centre. Currently the centre is open in term-time only so to provide care to more families that need it, we would like to open 50 weeks a year but without any state funding, we desperately need donations from companies and members of the public to achieve this goal.
