Talented Jacob Parkin, aged 9 from Lancing, beat off strong competition to win a rugby quiz organised by award-winning estate and lettings agents, Michael Jones and Company.

A sponsor of the club's first team, Worthing Raiders, Michael Jones and Company challenged six to 13 year olds to tackle their Rugby World Cup quiz.  The first five youngsters drawn with the correct answers were invited to a prize giving at which the winner was selected by first team player, Australian born, Peter Altona (pictured with Jacob).

Jacob, who plays for the club's under 10's team, was presented with a rugby ball signed by former England players and Worthing RFC first team at Michael Jones's office in Littlehampton.

Runners up Luke Dray and Cameron Luke both aged nine, and brother and sister, Lucy and James Waller aged 10 and 7 respectively each received a book on the history of the club, a mini rugby ball and WHSmith voucher worth ten pounds from Michael Jones partner, Alan Kentfield.

Congratulating Jacob on his well-earned prize, Alan said: "As a family owned company with strong roots in the area, Michael Jones is committed to serving the local community and supporting organisations like WRFC that provide a healthy outlet for youngsters.  The future success of our local club rests on young stars like Jacob and the other finalists.  We believe it is vital they are given every opportunity to develop, and are recognised and rewarded for their hard work and effort."
